At Explore! The Children’s Museum, our vision is to make science engaging, accessible, and genuinely enjoyable for students of all ages. Founded in 2009 by Will Hatch as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit children’s museum, Explore began as a brick-and-mortar museum before evolving into one of the early mobile science exhibit programs. Since then, Explore has traveled to more than 36 states, bringing hands-on science experiences to hundreds of schools, fairs, and civic events and reaching more than 500,000 students, teachers, parents, and other participants.
In 2011, when the original Explore Museum closed, Will Hatch transformed many of its hands-on exhibits into a mobile format, creating Kidz Science Safari—one of the early mobile children’s science museums. The program subsequently served schools and institutions throughout the country, including through relationships with UT Tyler and Discovery Science Place. Today’s Kidz Science Safari continues that hands-on museum concept, bringing interactive exhibits directly to K–6 schools.

Known for his signature steampunk hat, colorful lab coat, and contagious enthusiasm for learning, Professor Newton transforms complex scientific concepts into unforgettable experiences that students remember long after the program ends.

Will Hatch is a nationally recognized STEM presenter, museum designer, and curriculum innovator with more than 30 years of experience inspiring young minds. He has:
